Professional History
Born and raised in Dominican Republic, Dr. Florimon is fluent in English and Spanish. She is a board-certified pediatrician who received her medical degree in Dominican Republic and completed her pediatric residency as a chief resident at the Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, affiliated with NYU Medical College. She has over 5 years of experience working as a pediatrician at a federally qualified health center, taking care of a diverse pediatric population serving refugees, immigrants and multi-ethnic groups. She has treated children from newborns to young adults. Dr. Florimon enjoys the many challenges of caring for children, with a special interest in asthma, ADHD, eczema, obesity, and immigrant care.
Dr. Florimon believes it is important to provide compassionate and quality care to all of her patients, focusing on prevention, education, and understanding of common medical conditions in the pediatric population.
